Ontario’s household price plans matter more than a low wholesale observation. Use the market signal as context, then check the OEB plan you actually pay.
The OEB lets eligible utility customers choose between TOU, ULO and Tiered pricing. ULO can suit flexible overnight EV charging, but your daytime use matters too. Use the OEB bill calculator to compare a whole household; CheapestHours does not evaluate these retail plans or automatically apply their prices.

Compare my electricity use →Check whether moving the cycle crosses a retail price band. The wholesale ranking is not an OEB off-peak calendar.

Compare my electricity use →IESO’s Ontario Price has replaced the Hourly Ontario Energy Price (HOEP) under the renewed market. This page therefore describes the CA-ON data delivered by Elecz as a market signal without labeling it HOEP. Regulated Price Plan rates include Global Adjustment; they should not be replaced by the signal displayed here. The API view does not establish which IESO price series underlies every observation.

No. The result uses the available Elecz market signal. It does not load your utility’s retail schedule or calculate an OEB plan comparison.
Not necessarily. The amount charged overnight and the rest of the household’s consumption both matter. Compare the full usage pattern with current OEB prices.
Global Adjustment is already included in regulated TOU, ULO and Tiered electricity prices. Different arrangements can apply outside the Regulated Price Plan; check your utility’s bill explanation.
This page uses Toronto time with dates and seasonal clock changes. Confirm the clock and billing schedule used by your utility if your location follows a different time zone.
