Choose an ERCOT hub and view market conditions. For your household bill, the Electricity Facts Label and your retail plan matter more than a single wholesale price.
Texas Utilities Code §39.110 prohibits offering defined wholesale-indexed products to residential and small commercial customers in the ERCOT region. Do not treat this page as an offer of that product. The live price is a market reference; CheapestHours does not sell an electricity plan or simulate its full EFL.

Compare my electricity use →Use “Custom load” with power and runtime to estimate energy. The tool does not model motor duty cycles or guarantee a continuous window.
Compare my electricity use →Use the matching appliance choice. On a flat unit rate, shifting the same kWh need not lower the energy charge.
Compare my electricity use →ERCOT publishes settlement-point prices for hubs and other locations. Here you can choose Houston, North, South or West. The initial Houston selection is not a statewide average and a hub name is not a definitive mapping of your home’s service territory. Areas outside ERCOT need their own provider and market context.

No. A hub is a wholesale pricing reference. It does not identify your provider, delivery utility or exact retail contract.
Your plan’s terms determine the charge during its eligible hours. Check the EFL, including the rate outside that band and applicable charges. The market signal is not an EFL calculator.
Not necessarily. A variable retail rate and the legally defined direct real-time wholesale-indexed product are different. Read the update formula in your contract.
The page displays Central time using America/Chicago with dates and seasonal clock changes. It is a hub-market clock, not a location lookup for every part of Texas.
